Machesney Park village president's loaner car sparks debate (Rockford Register Star)
Linda Vaughn didn’t get her way last week when trustees nixed her idea to donate the taxpayer-funded car she drives for city and personal business to the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department. The village president would then get a new car, according to the plan.
